Product Details

Product overview:

The grader's mid-rear drive axle is designed for heavy-duty graders with a power output of 230 horsepower. Together with the grader's front steer drive axle, they form a complete three-axle drive solution. This series utilizes a cast steel axle structure with excellent load-bearing capacity and rigidity, capable of withstanding the enormous torque generated by the grader during heavy dozing and deep leveling operations. The axle body and frame are connected by a pivot suspension, and the wheels on both sides can independently adjust to inclines and declines in terrain, ensuring continuous traction. The wheels are equipped with wet multi-section brakes that are safe, reliable, and have a long service life. They are particularly suitable for heavy-duty applications and frequent braking, such as those found in mines and infrastructure projects in Russia. This series of products is exported to the Russian market in large quantities and has earned wide recognition from customers due to its consistent and reliable quality.

Product Features:

The entire bridge body is made of cast steel, which has high impact resistance:

All rear drive axles are constructed from solid steel bridge supports, eliminating the risk of stress concentration in the welded structure. The bridge shell material has been optimized for low-temperature operation and maintains good strength at -40°C. The main load-bearing elements have a variable cross-section, significantly increasing bending and torsional resistance while maintaining low weight. Even with uneven rock impacts in the quarrying area and sudden load fluctuations due to thawing permafrost, the bridge structure remains stable and reliable.

Rotary suspension joint, good terrain following:

Both sides of the axle housing are connected to the frame's pivot suspension, allowing the wheels to independently rotate ±15° depending on the inclines and declines of the road. This design allows the wheels to remain close to the ground even on very uneven roads, effectively transferring driving force to the ground, preventing loss of traction caused by one-sided wheel suspension, and significantly improving the vehicle's maneuverability and operational efficiency on Russia's challenging terrain.

Wet multi-section braking that requires little effort when braking in difficult conditions:

The wheel side adopts an enclosed wet multi-section brake, which is completely isolated from dust, dirt and water, and the braking performance is stable and reliable. The multi-section design has a large braking area and high braking torque, which meets the frequent braking needs of heavy graders. The oil bath lubrication not only effectively dissipates heat during braking and prevents temperature drop, but also reduces the wear of the friction plates to an extremely low level, ensuring the design The service life is more than 5000 hours, which significantly reduces the replacement frequency. The brake is equipped with spring braking and hydraulic release, which ensures a high degree of safety.

Planetary braking behind the wheel, strong road grip:

The grader's rear axle wheels are equipped with a planetary braking mechanism, while the sun wheel, planetary gear, and ring gear are made of high-quality alloy steel, carburized and hardened, providing excellent load-bearing capacity. The high-speed design significantly increases wheel torque. Thanks to the three-axle combined drive, the traction force of the entire machine is over 30% higher than that of a two-axle model, and the ability to start and climb hills on slippery and soft roads is significantly improved.

Mass export, time-tested:

Grader drive axleThis series has been supplied to the Russian market in large quantities for many years and has withstood extensive testing in extreme cold, harsh, and dirty conditions, earning excellent quality reviews. Each batch of products meets strict export quality standards, guaranteeing consistent and reliable product quality for customers.

Adaptation of special technology:

Considering the actual usage needs of Russian customers, we have adapted the following special technologies for the middle and rear axles of the motor grader:

Selection of low temperature materials:

The cast steel of the bridge body and gear steel have undergone low temperature impact resistance tests, ensuring that they will not become brittle under extremely low temperature conditions.

Strengthening the sealing system:

Wheel side seals and bearing seals are made of low temperature resistant materials that maintain good elasticity at -40°C, preventing oil leakage at low temperatures.

Optimization of the lubrication system:

Help customers select low-temperature-resistant synthetic lubricants and optimize the design of the lubricating oil supply channel inside the axle housing to ensure rapid oil film formation at each lubrication point during low-temperature startup.

Thickening of the anti-corrosion coating:

To cope with rainy and snowy conditions in Russia and to protect against corrosion caused by snow melting agents, the paint coating thickness has been increased by 30%, and the anti-corrosion properties are excellent.

Synergy Advantage:

Combined with the front axle driven by the steering, the middle axle of our motor grader and the rear axle of the grader form a complete three-axle drive system, which has the following synergistic advantages:

Intelligent power distribution coordination:

The torque distribution on the three-axle mechanism is precisely calculated to ensure load balancing on each axle, avoid overloading of a single axle and extend the service life of the entire machine.

Braking coordination is safe and reliable:

The three-axle braking system has been calibrated together, the braking force distribution is reasonable, the braking distance is short, the directional stability is good, and the safety when descending with a large load is higher.

Maintenance costs are significantly reduced:

The number of spare parts for the middle and rear axles increases, the number of spare parts types at customers is reduced by 30%, and maintenance costs are significantly reduced.

Maximum traction force of the entire machine:

Three axles are driven simultaneously, increasing the traction coefficient of the entire vehicle, and significantly improving the ability to start, accelerate and climb hills on slippery and soft roads.
